Media Public Awareness Campaign to Prevent Cocaine Overdoses
The Cuyahoga County Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) implemented a countywide awareness campaign (signsofOD) regarding the decrease in fentanyl-related overdose deaths and the subsequent increase in cocaine-related deaths.
This campaign aims to share the signs and symptoms of cocaine-related overdose, as much of our public health focus has historically centered on fentanyl- or opioid-related harms.
This presentation highlights how multidisciplinary team identified a gap in educational outreach, developed a media campaign, and the evaluation results.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Anyone working in overdose prevention or participating in an overdose fatality review.
